Do I need to know how to code?
No. You install two plugins through the normal WordPress screens and connect them with a click or a one-time key. Nothing in any file is ever edited.
Where does my data live?
On your own server. WPControlKit is self-hosted — your agency site is the dashboard, and your clients' information stays with you. Nothing sits on a third-party cloud.
How is this different from MainWP or ManageWP?
Those tools update and monitor sites well. WPControlKit does that too, and adds the things they leave out: client permission locks, payment-tied Safe Disconnect, and full care-plan billing with India GST invoices — all built into the same self-hosted, white-label tool you own.
Is it really white-label?
Yes. Your brand appears on the connector you give clients, on the PDF reports, and on the client portal. Clients see your agency, not a tool.
How do client sites connect?
Install the connector on a client site — either download a pre-configured connector that links itself automatically on activation, or paste a one-time key. No code changes on either side.
What happens if a client doesn't pay?
You can put their site into a restricted or read-only state from your dashboard, and restore it instantly when they pay. It's always reversible — a site is never permanently locked out.
Does it handle Indian GST?
Yes. It automatically applies CGST+SGST for clients in your state and IGST for others, shows the place of supply, and includes your GSTIN on invoices. Set your business state once, set each client's state, and the tax is handled for you.
Which payment gateways are supported?
Razorpay (INR) and Stripe. You can bill in INR or USD, and invoices mark themselves paid automatically once payment webhooks are connected.
Do my clients get a login?
Yes — a portal at your own /client-portal/ address where they see their sites, download reports, and view and pay invoices. Each client sees only their own.
Will updates break my setup?
No. The database updates itself automatically on upgrade — there's never a manual migration step. You run it on standard WordPress hosting.
